Electricity/Natural Gas are deregulated in Alberta

Water:
Water services are independent well/septic systems in the County. Hamlets are supplied with piped water; rates are determined based on the previous year's consumption. Currently, a regional trickle potable water system is being installed throughout the county by the Newell Regional Services Corporation. This system will provide potable water to all county residents and to the smaller municipalities within its boundaries.
The Bow River is the primary source of water for the County of Newell. The water flows into Lake Newell where it is distributed for both domestic and agricultural purposes.
The Eastern Irrigation District is the primary distributor of water for agricultural purposes.
Garbage:
Garbage is the individual responsibility of homeowners and enterprises. Service providers include BFI and Smith's Trucking. |
